Outside kids

"They're outside kids. It's really sparking his imagination and he's really engaged with it. The little one follows the big one."

Katherine · mum of two boys

Didn't know he'd play with it that much

"I knew he would play with it, but I didn't know he would play with it that much. He goes around the garden using it. It gets washed constantly."

Rachel · mum of a 3-year-old

The hat has room for growth

"The hat has room for growth. It's always really annoying when you buy something and it only fits for a couple of months. The magnifying glass and binoculars, she absolutely loves them."

Sammy · mum of a 2½-year-old

Rainy day?

Still not a screen.

Pick "With Activity Book" when you order and it's in the box: a whole book of mazes, dot-to-dots, bug facts and missions for the next dry day. So when it's tipping down, the answer to "can I have the tablet?" is still no.

Questions

Will it fit my 3-year-old? And my 7-year-old? +

Yes. It's one size, cut with room to grow, and designed for ages 3 to 7. At three the vest goes over a jumper, at seven over a t-shirt. The hat has a chin cord and room to grow into. If they're tall for their age, message us with their height and we'll tell you straight.

Does anything in it need batteries or charging? +

No. Nothing in the kit needs a battery, a cable or Wi-Fi. That's rather the point.

Is this the same kit as on Amazon? +

Yes. Same kit, same 21 pieces, same 4.7-star rating from nearly 2,000 families. Buying here means you deal with us directly, and the 30-day guarantee is ours, not a marketplace's.

What's included? +

Explorer vest, safari hat, binoculars, magnifying glass, compass whistle, bug catcher, bug collector box with a magnifying lid, butterfly net, tweezers, a set of toy bugs and the drawstring bag. It arrives in the Explorer Club gift box. The printed activity book is optional: add it in Step 3.

Do the binoculars actually work? +

They do. Real lenses with a focus wheel, sized for small hands and small faces. They're for spotting the bird at the bottom of the garden, not the moon.

Can I wash it? +

The vest is machine washable; follow the care label. The hat and bag can be hand washed, and the tools rinse under the tap.

Is it safe for a 3-year-old? +

No sharp edges. The tweezers and catcher have rounded plastic tips, and the toy bugs are for ages 3 and up.

Delivery and returns +

Delivery options and costs are shown at checkout. If they don't love it, you have 30 days to send it back.
