The arrest was the best bit

"We played this with my 5-year-old granddaughter and enjoyed it. After the clues have led you from room to room, you track down the bandit fox and arrest him. The final arrest, complete with handcuffs, was the best bit."

Kasbar · Amazon review · plays it with a 5-year-old

Half an hour, easily

"It easily keeps children entertained for half an hour or more while encouraging them to think, explore and move around. Much more fun than another game of hide and seek."

Jonny · Amazon review · bought it for a 4-year-old niece

Better than a screen

"A brilliant way to get children moving, searching and solving clues rather than sitting in front of a screen. Including the fox plush and toy handcuffs makes completing the hunt feel more rewarding."

The sneaky bit

It looks like playing. It's practice.

Mum kneeling beside a boy in a police vest as he points to a clue card on the bookshelf
  • Following clues in orderFirst this room, then that one. That's sequencing, and they don't know it.
  • Looking properlyUnder things. Behind things. Noticing what's out of place.
  • Taking turnsSomeone reads the card. Someone holds the cuffs. Someone hides the fox next.
  • Talking it through"He's not in the kitchen. Try the bedroom." Reasoning out loud, at four.

Questions

Do we need the police set to play? +

No. The hunt works on its own. But if they've got the uniform, they'll want it on for the arrest. If they haven't, the bundle above adds it for less than buying both.

How long does a game take? +

About two minutes to hide the fox and lay the cards. Then 20 to 30 minutes of hunting, depending on how sneaky you've been.

Can they play it more than once? +

Yes, that's the point. New hiding place, new trail, new game. The blank cards let you write your own clues, so it gets harder as they get better.

Does my 3-year-old need to read? +

No. The room cards are pictures and the footprint cards go on the floor. For the little ones, just hide the fox and let them search. The written clues are for the 6-to-7s.

Are the blank cards reusable? +

Yes. Write your clues in pencil so you can rub them out and write new ones next time.

Is this the same set as on Amazon? +

Yes. Same fox, same cards, same cuffs. Buying here means you deal with us directly, and the 30-day guarantee is ours, not a marketplace's.

Delivery and returns +

Order today and it's usually with you in two working days. Free UK delivery on orders over £50. If they don't love it, you have 30 days to send it back.
